Within the mouth, gums play an important role in keeping teeth healthy and working. Any gum sensitivity should be reported to the dentist:

– It could be a sign of gum disease, which is important to get treated so it doesn’t lead to wobbly teeth or even losing teeth.

– You may be causing your sensitive gums by brushing too hard; try using a softer bristled brush to clean your teeth.

– Tender gums could also be a symptom of chronic stress.
