When wisdom teeth erupt in adulthood they often need removing. Extraction is a common procedure, usually accompanied by facial swelling. You can deal with this swelling by:

– Rinsing with saltwater three times a day, keeping your head elevated and applying hot or ice cold compresses (20 mins on/20 mins off).

– Following the aftercare advice closely.

– Swelling should reduce a few days after the extraction.
