Children are likely to damage their teeth – chipping a tooth, loosening a tooth or knocking one out completely – so it’s best to be prepared:
– Phone your child’s dentist for an emergency appointment.
– Although a loose or chipped tooth may not seem that serious it is best to get it checked to minimise any long-term damage.
– A knocked-out tooth needs putting back in the socket as quickly as possible – make sure you clean it first!
“You have less than an hour to do this before the likelihood of saving the tooth long-term is jeopardized.”
